Tuesday 19 May 2009

This week students were provided with a letter advising that the members of the Queensland Teachers' Union (QTU) at this school have notified the Department of Education and Training that they will stop work for 24 hours on Tuesday, 19 May 2009. This means some teachers will not attend school on Tuesday 19 May 2009 as part of the 24-hour state-wide stoppage. It is important that you know of my expectations that all students that are to sit the QCS exams attend the Mighty Minds, Steve McCabe workshop on this day. This coincides with the advertised industrial dispute however supervision will be provided so this previously planned activity can be delivered to our QCS students. Regards, Sally Thompson

Principal's Welcome

I invite you to become a member of our School, we value the contibution of every person, and consider it a very special responsibility and privilege to be a part of your young person's life.

I consider it a privilege to be the Principal of this school. It is a great school, and a great place to be for students, staff, parents and carers. It offers a supportive, challenging and positive learning environment where every student is encouraged to "Reach For the Stars", in a safe, team environment where individuals count.

The staff give 110%, and work alongside every young person, so they are able to reach their full potential.
