WHY STUDY VISUAL ART STUDIES?

This subject provides students with the opportunities to develop a range of practical skills in various media and to explore the roles of artist practitioners and technicians.

Students are required to express ideas in different media after planning and investigate practical solutions to problems.

They will experience working individually and cooperatively in groups to achieve goals.

The subject allows students to experience working in an art studio environment often on tasks that are authentic, fulfilling a real requirement either on or off campus. This may require students to work beyond the conventions of the art studio.
