Welcome to Gladstone State High School and thank you for considering our school, and for giving my staff and I the opportunity to be involved in your education, or in the education of your student. We are very proud of our school and believe that we have excellent programs, which give both students and parents/caregivers many opportunities to be involved and become a valued member of our school. As Principal, I am charged with the rsponsibility of leading a team who will provide:
This will enable all students enrolled at the school to achieve their best educational outcomes. I want students at Gladstone High to be able to lead morally responsible and productive lives in their own local community and the global society, beyond this community. I recognise that it is the productive partnership formed between the staff, the students, parents and the community that will make this difference for the students at Gladstone High.

To the Parents/Caregivers

Please remain involved with your student's education. Your involvement will make a difference to their achievements. As Principal of Gladstone High, I am charged with the responsibility of building a cohesive school community where people are our most valuable resource and all stakeholders are enrolled and engaged in the opportunities made available at the school. Every parent contribution makes the school richer in some way, and as a result makes us more able to provide quality curriculum programs responsive to the needs of every student in the school. A school will never reach its full potential without involvement form its parent body. Throughout my career, many of the valuable lessons I have learned have occurred working alongside parents and the subsequent networks that have been established. I have often engaged in healthy debate about children and the most effective way of managing these children. I hold close to my heart the opportunities made available to me by these parents and their enduring insights, and I look forward to the same opportunities with you, as we provide a safe, supportive, challenging learning environment for your child. Gladstone High is a learning organisation where parents and caregivers are valued for the difference they make to the education of their child, and others when they become involved in the achievements of the school. Gladstone High enjoys the support of a number of committed parents and caregivers. The school seeks to provide opportunities for parents to connect to our community and we encourage you to take advantage of these connection points. As part of this partnership we ask you to:
I look forward to sharing our school with you as you become a valued member of our learning organisation. Finally, on behalf of the adminstration team, I welcome you to the school. We look forward to speaking to you personally, and trust that our future partnership will be very productive, providing the best educational outcomes for your child. Sally Thompson, Principal.
